  Overall, the interior of the apartments are not terrible; for being a very old building, the units are fairly nice having laminate floors, updated kitchens, and stainless steel appliances. The apartments are small, however the price was somewhat reasonable given the updated units as mentioned above. Most of the residents are younger professional adults, many with dogs. TRant time:
  My biggest concerns are with Centurion Properties, the management company. While they do respond to maintenance requests quickly, they do not care about anything outside of your unit. The super for most of the past year, who recently got fired, did not care about her job at all and even complained about it in front of tenants for a long time. She came into my unit for maintenance issues TWICE with no 24 hour notice. The dumpster and recycling bins out back are always a disaster as seen in the photo - that was like that for over two weeks... guess the garbage workers didn't want to deal with it. Also often sketchy people going through the garbage or looking in apartment windows. Car windows have also been smashed nearby. There have been homeless people in the building's basement (and their stuff has never been cleaned out, you can see where one has camped out down there). Every weekend a cleaner comes into the building and does a VERY quick vacuuming of hallways. But yet for over a month there has been a huge cobweb/spider web combo right in the corner by my door (with spiders) and many cobwebs in the corners of hallways and ceilings all around... so they do not do a very good job. Also never clean the basement laundry room either.
  I found somewhere to move to a month and a half before my lease was up and the property manager approved my request to reassign my lease (as they legally have to) but then weeks later another superintendent calls me (after the property manager didn't respond to my emails for a week, I leave her a voicemail and she then asks the super to talk to me instead) and says that the property manager was wrong and Centurion does not allow lease reassignments at all. That refusal allowed me to just give 30 days notice to leave as per Landlord Tenant Board. Many tenants (all I have talked to) complain about the same stuff and some have even been charged for not paying rent, even though they deposited cheques which were just never picked up.
  SO much miscommunication/misinformation in this company, and you can clearly see they do not care about the appearance of their buildings and only do what they legally have to (though not all staff know legalities). If there was a more professional management company who cared about tenants and the buildings, I would be a little more likely to recommend these buildings.
